Families from Durango and tourists enjoy Durango traditions in an atmosphere of celebration and pride.

The Muuki Festival 2024, under the motto “Sing and don’t cry!”, closed with great success, consolidating itself as one of the most anticipated events in Durango. For several days, the city vibrated with a cultural festival that offered more than 70 activities in different places, attracting both the large Durango family and visitors from other states and tourists from around the world. With historical tours, artistic presentations, workshops, colorful parades and shows, the Muuki honored our Day of the Dead traditions in an unforgettable way.

The festival stood out not only for its wide cultural offering, but also for the active participation of local talent. Pavel Adame mentioned: “The Muuki Festival is a great opportunity for Durango artists to show our work. The interest of the people in this celebration has grown a lot, and that is due in large part to the magic of the festival.”

The Plaza IV Centenario became the epicenter of the festivities, with a spectacular closing by the Circo Elektrico and its presentation of “Memoria de Gigantes.” Beyond the show, the Durango community enjoyed a peaceful atmosphere, as Jesús Blancarte commented: “It is very nice to be able to go out with the family and enjoy activities in a peaceful environment.”

Keida Arreola, another attendee, stressed the importance of the event: “It is essential that children and adults keep our traditions alive, and Muuki achieves this by presenting art in all its forms.”

Toño Ochoa expressed his pride in the success of the festival: “Muuki reminded us how cool Durango is and the importance of transmitting our customs to the new generations. This festival unites us as a family and projects us as the most Mexican north.” With this edition, Durango reaffirms its commitment to celebrate its roots, dignify its culture and share its wealth with the world.
