The leader of the PAN in Durango, Mario Salazar Madera, said that Mexico’s president, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, is engaged in a permanent campaign in favor of her political party, Morena, particularly with an eye toward the 2027 electoral process, in which the Chamber of Deputies and several governorships across the country will primarily be renewed.
This was in reference to the national tour undertaken by the head of the federal Executive Branch to present her Second Government Report. On Thursday, September 3, she visited the capital of Durango.
PAN Questions Federal Government Figures and Results
During his visit to the municipality of Gómez Palacio, the president of the State Executive Committee said that there are figures that cannot be hidden and that he hopes the time for awareness and consistency will come.
“And above all, the commitment to speak the truth to the people,” he maintained.
Salazar Madera said that the external debt of the current Mexican government had increased by $31.693 billion, while public debt stood at 19.6 trillion pesos, in addition to observations by the Superior Audit Office of the Federation involving 600 million pesos in possible direct damages to the Public Treasury. The PAN leader also pointed to a 59.6 percent increase in the national crime incidence rate for extortion, the crisis surrounding disappearances, with 132,000 cases, and shortcomings in the healthcare system.
Leader Demands Answers Regarding Security Situation in Sinaloa
The president of the National Action Party in the state said that the PAN has been very clear regarding Sinaloa, in the sense that the state powers should disappear amid the crisis of insecurity and ungovernability.
“And there has been no response. But beyond that, there has not even been a real, in-depth investigation into what is happening with Rocha Moya in the neighboring state. There have been very clear allegations, concrete facts, and because of that, she should also report on it and provide an assessment in her report,” he said.
Finally, he said that during the national tour, “we will be listening to words that are lies, that do not want to see reality, and that an objective assessment will never exist; it will always be an assessment in their favor, and this promotional tour is taking place precisely to promote their Morena brand.”
