People with disabilities already have the opportunity to practice archery and they can do it inside the municipal school in the sports unit 450
The classes are in morning hours from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and in the afternoon from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, so that no one is left out of training, and they can do it according to their time.
The trainer Eduardo Soto, who is passionate about this sport and thanks to his efforts, it was possible to have a special field for the discipline and it is in the 450 sports unit.
Several weeks ago, the activities for the public, both for children, adults, and young people, began to function, but now the invitation is made to all those people who have a disability and who are interested in learning and excel.
This sport is part of the Paralympic program, and they can now train to be part of this great team either for recreation or competitively to represent Durango.
Durango in archery has had good results, it has several national championships, the most recent being the Indoor Championships that took place in Monterrey at the end of 2022, where a first place and three third places were achieved.
All the interested people need to go in sports clothes, since all the learning archery equipment is provided and loaned during the training sessions.
