Durango City Council continues its improvement projects at Zabalarra Eskola, aiming to adapt the educational spaces to current pedagogical needs and enhance the well-being of students and staff.
One of the completed projects is the installation of acoustic panels in the Ikaslab classroom and the Infant and Primary school dining halls, carried out last March. This project, with a budget of €9,188 (excluding VAT) from the 2025 budget, has reduced reverberation in high-traffic areas and improved the school’s acoustic comfort.
Furthermore, the replacement of five interior doors is planned for July, with an investment of €3,910 (excluding VAT), also funded from the 2025 budget. This project includes replacing three double doors and two additional doors, with the goal of updating the interior woodwork and improving the functionality of the spaces. Also, in July the renovation of the 3-year-old classroom and its toilet will be carried out, within the Udaleraiki 2025 program. The intervention, with an investment of 32,723 euros (excluding VAT) from the 2026 budget, includes the removal of partitions, the creation of larger and more flexible spaces, the renewal of flooring and improvements in acoustic insulation.
