The Muuki Festival 2025 continues to grow strongly thanks to the support of Mayor Toño Ochoa. The large Durango community is experiencing this and demonstrating it by filling the heart of the city during the massive concert where El Coyote and Los Cadetes de Linares got everyone dancing.

“Muuki is great, the plaza is packed, you can spend time with your family, bring the kids to have fun, the festival is really good,” shared Arturo Díaz. Noé and Camila agreed, singing along and noting that this edition has even more activities for everyone.

With nearly 60 events, the “Path of Souls”—the name of this year’s festival—offers a wide variety of activities ranging from gastronomy to film. “It’s a festival that has established itself as the most Mexican in northern Mexico,” said Valeria Gutiérrez, who invited all families to enjoy the program until November 2nd.

For his part, Hugo de la Cruz, accordionist for Los Cadetes de Linares, expressed: “It’s an honor for us to be here. It’s a real compliment that our mayor thought of Los Cadetes. Muuki brings families together and honors those who are no longer with us, through music and traditions.”

Thousands of people, like María del Rosario Medrano, sang along to the greatest hits to the rhythm of the accordion and bajo sexto, and danced to the music of El Coyote’s band. “I loved all the songs, everything was beautiful and well organized,” she commented excitedly.

Thus, the 2025 Muuki Festival continues, uniting music, culture, and tradition in a single heartbeat. And this is just the beginning: there is still much to enjoy on this “Path of Souls.”
