The Durango Citizen Collective is promoting the creation of a new political party called Somos Mx, according to one of its members, Jesús Diez Flores, who stated that the intention is to provide citizens with a better alternative in the electoral process.

Diez Flores explained that if registration is granted, the party will seek to recover the republic and each of its institutions, which are at risk of disappearing with the measures implemented by the authoritarian Morena regime.

He announced that four district assemblies will be held in this state to promote the support and support of 20,000 people, the number required to meet the requirement demanded by the National Electoral Institute (INE) for platforms that register with the intention of formalizing themselves as a new political force.

Jesús Diez added that the members of the collective to which he belongs are working and reaching a consensus on how to participate in these assemblies. He asserted that there will be no such thing as “duplicating” or corporatism, something they have always rejected, because “these measures are no longer effective today, as citizens want to see new forms of organization, as well as new faces and effective actions that truly defend the country and are not pretenses.”

He noted that it is of utmost importance to regain the trust of citizens, as they have stopped participating in politics and, consequently, voting rates in electoral processes are not very high.

The PAN seeks to expand its electoral victories with a new state leadership.

The decision made by the Political Council will be sent to the National Executive Committee (CEN) for validation. The swearing-in of the slate will be pending.
“They’re tired of applauding and then being ignored. Today, we need to consult them so they can decide who their leaders will be and who they will nominate for office. Political groups must stop monopolizing and centralizing decisions. We must remember that in Mexico, six out of 10 people have no identity and don’t want to know anything about any color,” the interviewee concluded.
