In the face of the ongoing armed conflict in Sinaloa between two organized crime cells, businessmen say they are not calm, and are currently waiting to see if it spreads to Durango territory, especially in the urban area as is already happening in the neighboring state, said the president of the National Chamber of the Housing Development and Promotion Industry (Canadevi), Salvador Chávez Molina.
Therefore, for the moment, all precautions are being taken to avoid transiting or doing so as little as possible to any of these destinations that are the epicenter of the conflict, to avoid being victims of any crime as has already been observed with the theft and burning of cargo units that are used to carry out the blockades.

He pointed out that most of the housing developers associated with the Chamber are working in the state of Durango, however the few who are in the port of Mazatlán, are already beginning to move to other places, although the pertinent security measures are taken, that is, doing so during the day.
“Unfortunately, we are being told that there are a number of checkpoints that are not official, but so far there has not been any problem reported by our partners,” commented Chávez Molina, who said they are awaiting the communications issued by the authorities, “we hope that the government can stop this type of actions and that it is resolved as soon as possible,” he said.

After the approval of the reform to the Constitution that gives the operational and administrative control of the National Guard to the Secretariat of National Defense (Sedena), approved in general terms last Friday, September 19, in the federal Chamber of Deputies; the businessman from Durango said he was in agreement, if this helps to improve the conditions of insecurity that exist in the country.
And it is a demand, not only from the Private Initiative, but in general from all citizens, that both the National Guard and the Mexican Army carry out their work and guarantee the integration of people and goods, in addition to guaranteeing free transit within all lines of communication throughout the country.
“I think that this is not happening today and if this is the reason for this to happen, then I welcome this decision,” said the president of Canadevi in Durango, one of the states that, according to the analyses carried out by the various observatories, is among the first places in terms of security, but which, being surrounded by entities in conflict with organized crime, is at latent risk.
