With more than 100 events, Revueltas Festival 2024 will fill Durango with art and culture

With a program full of local, national and international talent, Durango and its emblematic spaces will be wrapped in artistic expressions, announced Governor Esteban Villegas Villarreal when presenting the program of the Revueltas 2024 Cultural Festival, in which the roots of the state will be projected with more than 100 free activities and events.

Among the star events are the concert of “Jacobo Vélez y la Mambanegra”, “Aleks Syntek”, “Alejandro Filio”, “Lupita Sandoval” with the musical comedy monologue ¿Gorda yo?; “Los Ángeles Negros”, “Todd Clouser & A Love Electric”, “Las Angélicas” Angélica María and Angélica Vale Show, and “Nortec Bostich + Fussible (Full Band)”.

Accompanied by his wife Marisol Rosso and the mayor of the capital, Toño Ochoa, the State Executive stressed that this festival, once again, is achieved with only eight million pesos, far from the 40 million that were previously invested in its organization.

“Let Durango continue to be heard for what we are and for its cultural value, a concept that makes us unique, like our natural majesties; good times are coming and with this festival, we are betting on talent and good foundations with values ​​for future generations,” he said after recalling his career as well as that of other artists who began at the Teatro del Calvario “Lilia Santaella.”

The director of the Institute of Culture of the State of Durango (ICED), Francisco Javier Pérez Meza, explained that this festival will take place from October 11 to 20, and will be the largest in our state.

The Secretary of Tourism, Elisa Haro, indicated that with these events, cultural spaces and magical towns are strengthened, which will provide greater opportunities to regions with a tourist vocation with the Revueltas 2024 Festival.

In this edition, the state of Zacatecas will be invited and there will be a program of more than 700 cultural events, where more than 700 artists and creators will participate, from Durango, CDMX, Jalisco, Zacatecas, Nuevo León, San Luis Potosí, Guanajuato, Baja California, Aguascalientes and Chihuahua, in addition to the countries of Argentina, Colombia, Paraguay, Switzerland, Bolivia, Guatemala and Chile.

The spaces that will host the activities of this festival will be: Teatro Victoria, Teatro de la Juventud, Corredor Constitución, Plaza IV Centenario, among other spaces in the Historic Center and 11 municipalities.
