The circulation on the Mazatlán-Durango toll road has resumed Tuesday night after being closed for nearly 36 hours due to accidents involving two trailers near the community of Copala in the municipality of Concordia.

Caminos y Puentes Federales (Capufe) posted on their social media at 19:46 hours that the accident at kilometer 193 has been addressed.

The post also mentions heavy traffic in both directions, urging drivers to follow traffic instructions and drive with caution.

It’s worth noting that on Monday morning, a trailer loaded with soft drinks caught fire, and at 11:00 PM the same day, another trailer without brakes collided with emergency vehicles and struck workers who were clearing the wreckage from the first accident.

In this incident, one worker was injured and transported to a medical center, while others suffered minor injuries.
