Durango nurses are certified in their profession, which opens the doors to work in Europe, the United States and Canada, said María del Refugio Torres Domingues, president of the Durangueñas AC College of Nurses.

The nurse also explained that to date there are 203 nurses who have been certified through the external body called Conocer.

She added that the cost of certification and recertification is paid by the nurses, and stressed that the salaries received by the union are not the desired ones because at the national and international level they are better paid, which is why more and more emigrate to Canada, the United States, and Europe to practice their profession.

Torres Domingues indicated that in the last months six nurses found employment abroad and stressed that the certification they carry out is valid internationally.

She added that having the certifications allows the company to offer personnel trained in current knowledge, which is re-accredited every five years.
