Durango, the third with the highest inflation

Durango continues to be among the states with the highest inflation in the country, ranking above the national average, which stood at 3.57 percent in October.

Although overall inflation in Mexico showed a slowdown compared to September—falling from 3.76 to 3.57 percent—this trend was not uniform across all regions of the country.

During October 2025, the states with the highest inflation were San Luis Potosí, with 4.5 percent; Oaxaca, with 4.4 percent; and in third place, Durango, with 4.1 percent, a figure similar to that recorded in Aguascalientes, Chihuahua, and Nayarit.

Conversely, the states with the lowest inflation were Tlaxcala, with just 1.8 percent; Baja California Sur, with 2.3 percent; and Puebla and Morelos, each with 2.7 percent.

San Luis Potosí remains the state with the highest inflation rate over the last three months, while Durango moved from seventh place in September to third in October, although it maintained the same inflation rate of 4.1 percent.

In Durango’s case, inflation showed no change compared to the previous month, despite the national decrease.

Óscar Nava, leader of the merchants at the former sports complex, noted that October was a relatively stable month, with little price fluctuation. “Just as a product might go up one week, it would go down the next,” he commented. He added that pineapples were among the products that saw the greatest price increase.
