A bill regulating real estate services in the state of Durango was introduced in the State Congress. The bill aims to establish a regulatory framework that provides legal certainty, transparency, and security in housing sales and rental transactions.

Representative Alejandro Mojica Narváez stated that the proposal seeks to address the lack of regulation in the real estate sector, which has created vulnerability for thousands of families in the state. The bill proposes three main objectives: the creation of a mandatory registry of real estate agents and companies, the implementation of a certification system to guarantee professionalism, and a code of ethics to regulate sector practices.

According to the statement, the regulation will protect citizens’ assets, establish fair contracts, and clarify the processes for purchasing and renting real estate. “Housing is not a luxury; it is a fundamental right. With this law, we seek to ensure that families have security in every transaction,” he stated.

The legislator emphasized that, in addition to regulating the market, the law aims to combat abuses, prevent irregular practices, and consolidate a system that provides confidence to both those who buy and rent housing.

He emphasized the importance of promoting legislative measures aimed at protecting family assets and strengthening urban development in Durango.
