Through the Doctor in Your Home program, implemented by the state government headed by Esteban Villegas Villarreal, thousands of families receive medical care without having to travel, saving time and money, as well as providing timely care to those most in need. Free consultations, medication delivery, test results, and medical treatment are delivered directly to homes, and to date, this program already provides coverage in 11 municipalities in different regions of Durango.

With the coordination of the Ministry of Health, headed by Moisés Nájera Torres, this program, which began in towns in the capital, now also reaches municipalities such as Nuevo Ideal, Canatlán, Guadalupe Victoria, Peñón Blanco, Francisco I. Madero, Tamazula, Pueblo Nuevo, Durango, Nombre de Dios, Coneto de Comonfort, and San Juan del Río, expanding medical coverage in urban and rural areas.

These specialized medical visits have resulted in more than 3,000 home consultations and more than 6,000 households in rural and hard-to-reach communities. Priority is given to people who, due to their physical, economic, or location, cannot travel to a health center for care.

In addition to consultations, free medications, bandages, clinical study reviews, and functional aids such as wheelchairs, walkers, and prosthetics are provided, improving the quality of life of patients with disabilities or reduced mobility. These actions also strengthen prevention by detecting diseases early and referring patients to specialized care when necessary.
