This growth was primarily driven by international travelers, whose flow increased 17.3 percent compared to the same period last year.
The report details that, in April alone, 46,508 people used the Durango airport to enter or leave the state, a figure that represents a 5.6 percent increase compared to April 2024, when 44,026 passengers were registered.
Comparing April with March of this year, a similar growth is also observed, with a 5.1 percent increase, indicating positive and sustained performance in the airport’s user flow.
However, this rebound was not uniform. The domestic passenger segment showed a marginal growth of 2.0 percent in April compared to the same month in 2024. In contrast, the number of international passengers saw a notable increase of 22.1 percent in the same period.
This trend is also reflected in the cumulative data for the first four months of 2025. While domestic passenger traffic grew by just 0.2 percent compared to the previous year, international passenger traffic increased by 17.3 percent.
