This new space, with 40 trees over 6 meters tall, includes species such as Ash, Acacia, Crespón, Greggii Pine and Engelmanni. These trees not only bring beauty to the city, but also improve air quality and help regulate ambient temperature.
“For the capital government, it is necessary that the great Durango family enjoys clean air and green spaces that provide tranquility and well-being. These microforests are a beauty, not only do they beautify Durango, but they are also a commitment to the environment and to future generations,” said Toño Ochoa.
In this sense, the head of the environment in the capital, Albino Ponce Barrón, reported that so far, around 20 thousand trees have been planted in the municipality during this administration, making Durango an example of public policies in favor of the environment.
