La Sader stressed that the above allows the production of eggs to be profitable for all national producers, however, Jalisco, Puebla and Sonora are the ones that stand out for their greater contribution in total production.
In its magazine Agricultura Mexicana, Sader published that the production of eggs for dishes is one of the most important activities in the country, both in the economic sphere and in consumption, reports Informador .
Annually, a Mexican consumes 345 eggs a year, which is equivalent to more than 26 kilos, which makes Mexico the country where this product is most consumed.
This activity, he specified, accounts for the existence of 202 million birds for egg production, better known as laying birds, throughout the country.
It is because of this that Mexico is considered the fourth largest egg producer worldwide and is responsible for one in every 27 eggs produced in the world. There are a large number of small and medium-sized producers dedicated, through backyard poultry, to egg production.
