Durango represents Mexico in the World Mining Convention PDAC 2020

The Governor of the State of Durango, José Rosas Aispuro Torres, along with Francisco Quiroga, Under Secretary of Mining, Graeme Clark, Canadian Ambassador to Mexico, Juan José Gómez Camacho, Mexican Ambassador to Canada, Salvador García, President AIMMGM, Alfredo Phillips, President MTF Cancham, Fernando Alanís, President of Camimex and Porfirio Thierry Muñoz Ledo, Consul General of Mexico in Toronto, inaugurated the Mexican Mining booth in Toronto, where Durango will continue to be promoted as the best place to invest for mining companies around the world.


PDAC: The World’s Premier Mineral Exploration & Mining Convention is the leading convention for people, companies and organizations in, or connected with, mineral exploration.


“100 million dollars more in investment from the mining sector will arrive in Durango soon,” Rosas Aispuro announced during the launch of the most important annual mining convention in the world, held in Toronto, Canada.

After holding several meetings with business leaders of the sector, the Governor and the head of the Ministry of Economic Development (Sedeco), Ramón Dávila Flores, managed to attract more investment for the state of Durango, which will seek to contribute on the generation of jobs and bring more development for Duranguenses.

“Durango is a world reference in the metallurgical industry, which generates a great impact on economic development, boosts employment, generates trust, investment and attraction of companies”, said the state leader, before investors of world-class companies with whom he highlighted the benefits of the region to carry out this economic activity in a sustainable way, which currently represents an important income nationwide.
