“Enrique Peña Nieto received a Ferrari from former veracruz governor Javier Duarte”, Emilio Lozoya denounces

Emilio Lozoya continues to give something to talk about: now he denounces that former governor Javier Duarte gave Enrique Peña a grandson a Ferrari car in 2015

CDMX (August 20, 2020).- The former governor of Veracruz, Javier Duarte, who is currently imprisoned for money laundering and criminal association, gave a Ferrari sports luxury car to former president Enrique Peña Nieto, according to the testimony of the former director of Pemex, Emilio Lozoya Austin, before the Attorney General’s Office (FGR), a statement that joins the others that implicate various officials, governors, and former presidents in acts of corruption.

According to the FGR document leaked on social networks, Emilio Lozoya reported that Javier Duarte personally gave Peña Nieto the keys to the Ferrari, which had belonged to former president Adolfo López Mateos, after a tour of the ex-president in Veracruz in 2015.

The file contained photographs of the vehicle with the text: “This Ferrari belonged to President López Mateos,” and next to these were the car keys, according to Lozoya.

The former director of Pemex said that he already had knowledge of the close relationship between Peña Nieto and Duarte, in which the former Secretary of Finance and Public Credit (SHCP), Luis Videgaray Caso, was also involved, who had asked Lozoya himself “to facilitate” resources from PEMEX for the Duarte administration.

The Italian car would have been stored along with other luxurious gifts and money that the PRI was amassing in a secret house ordered to be built by Peña Nieto in the State of Mexico, which would have a “Museum of the President” inside.

In addition to Peña Nieto, the accusations of Emilio Lozoya have implicated a number of officials, ex governors and even former presidents in acts of corruption, such as Peña Nieto, Felipe Calderón, Carlos Salinas de Gortari, governors Miguel Barbosa (Puebla), Francisco Domínguez Servién (Querétaro), Javier García Cabeza de Vaca (Tamaulipas), former officials such as Luis Videgaray, Ricardo Anaya, among others.
