The Mexican Republic exceeds 350 thousand positive for the COVID-19 coronavirus, a virus that has already claimed the lives of more than 40 thousand people in our country.
Mexico is experiencing its second month of the so-called ‘new normal’, with most of its entities experiencing their peak of coronavirus infections , although some other regions are at the beginning of the slow de-escalation. Given this, the official recommendation is to stay home as long as possible to avoid possible outbreaks.
In general figures, the Mexican Republic has suffered more than 350 thousand positives for COVID-19 , a virus that has already claimed the lives of more than 40 thousand people, according to the most recent figures presented by the same Ministry of Health of the Government of Mexico, corresponding as of Tuesday, July 21, 2020.
40,400 deaths with 11.34% case fatality rate
In Mexico, 40,400 people have died, victims of the new coronavirus. The case-fatality rate is 11.34%, well above the world average reported by the World Health Organization, corresponding to 4.2%. As for deaths, Mexico is the number four country in the world that has registered the most perished , above China, Spain, France, Italy, Russia, Sweden and India.

Mexico City and the State of Mexico, the epicenter of the pandemic
The center of the country has suffered the most damage from the coronavirus outbreak. These are Nuevo León (3,601), Guanajuato (3,174), Veracruz (2,841), Coahuila (2,490), Tamaulipas (2,453), Tabasco (2,379), San Luis Potosí (2,208), Puebla (2,207) and Jalisco (2,069) .
