Price of the dollar/peso today Tuesday, July 21, 2020, exchange rate

In the exchange rate against the dollar, the Mexican peso begins the day with a recovery, after having a stable Monday. 

Mexico City. Today, Tuesday, July 21, 2020, the dollar is trading at $ 22.32  Mexican pesos, according to the investing.com platform. This is a recovery of 15 cents for the national currency compared to the close of yesterday Monday when it was at 22.47 units.

Yesterday, Monday, in a session without relevant economic indicators, market participants were attentive to negotiations for an economic support package in the European Union (EU) to help the bloc’s economy overcome the ravages of Covid-19, whose behavior continues to increase in nations like the United States.

Bloomberg reported that Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti warned that the city is on the verge of another containment order as cases accelerate.

Florida recorded its fifth consecutive day of more than 10,000 cases, although in Texas, the number of new infections decreased.

DOLLAR PRICE IN REAL TIME:

Investors are also watching for progress related to a possible treatment against Covid-19, as the bulk of capital markets started the week with favorable variations.

Regarding the exchange rate in the different banks in Mexico, the price of the dollar reaches its highest level for sale at $ 23.50 in Banbajio,  while the lowest price for purchase is at $ 21.35 in Banorte and IXE.

Regarding the euro, it is quoted at $ 25.54 pesos, for $ 28.36 pesos of the pound sterling in general average.
